Draft prepared October 19, 2026 · Owner review required before adoption
1. Merge Social and your account
Merge Social is operated by Sharon Brown in the United States, with Virginia as the requested launch state, and is intended for people aged 21 and older. It helps members connect through profiles, private messages, groups and events. Customers can use Merge email/password or Google sign-in without a Lovable account. Protect your sign-in information and contact support if you believe someone else has accessed your account.
This is a draft for owner approval, not a statement that an enforceable agreement has already been accepted. A public business address, business structure, age-enforcement and agreement-acceptance processes still require confirmation. Virginia launch planning does not establish a governing-law or dispute-resolution agreement.
2. Membership plans
- Standard Merge membership is $4.99 per month on the web. Social features require membership; signing in alone does not grant access.
- Local Meetups is $20 per month on the web and replaces the standard plan rather than adding $20 on top. It includes exclusive meetup joining and hosting, and interest-based event recommendations.
- Interest-based group recommendations are available to members. Interest-based event recommendations require the Local Meetups upgrade.
Review the plan, currency and payment disclosures shown at checkout. Tax-inclusive versus tax-added treatment and the seller’s country are not yet confirmed; this draft does not resolve them. Event availability varies and membership does not guarantee a particular friend, event or place.
3. Launch offer and plan changes
New accounts receive free Basic access through December 31, 2026, New York time, rather than 30 days from signup. Afterward, Basic is $4.99 per month while the offer lasts. No ending date or later price for the $4.99 offer has been specified. Free access does not authorize an automatic charge: members must subscribe after free access ends. Existing paid subscriptions are unchanged. Local Meetups remains $20 per month and starts and bills immediately.
The prorated upgrade difference must be collected successfully before Local Meetups access is unlocked. Ordinary cancellation and downgrades take effect at the paid period’s end. A plan change must not silently reverse a scheduled cancellation; restarting renewal requires explicit consent. Access continues during Stripe renewal retries until final cancellation.
These are Merge’s owner-specified billing rules. The checkout and billing controls must correctly implement them; this draft is not evidence that every live payment path has been verified.
4. Payments and refunds
Stripe remains Merge’s subscription payment provider. A separate Venmo QR may be offered alongside Stripe. Venmo payments require verification before membership can be granted; a QR scan or payment claim is not confirmation and does not establish automatic renewal.
Refund eligibility, dispute handling, deletion-related access changes and applicable consumer rights require owner and legal review. No blanket no-refund rule, cancellation penalty or waiver of statutory rights is created by this draft. Any future Android payment offering must comply with applicable Google Play payment requirements.
5. Community conduct — proposed for approval
The following conduct rules are proposed, not yet confirmed as adopted: treat others respectfully; do not harass, threaten, impersonate, scam, share another person’s private information without permission, or post illegal, abusive or exploitative content. Do not use Merge to facilitate child sexual abuse or exploitation.
Members can block unwanted interactions and report profiles or messages for authorized review. The owner must approve community standards, moderation procedures, enforcement and appeal rules, and child-safety reporting processes before relying on this section for a store submission.
6. AI suggestions and real-world meetings
AI features generate recommendations and text from supplied information and relevant context. Suggestions can be inaccurate and do not establish that a member or meeting is safe. Use your own judgment, respect others’ consent, and take sensible precautions when arranging real-world meetings.
Visitor bookings use the owner’s available calendar slots; a confirmed booking includes a verified Google Meet link. Review the details provided in your confirmation. Event-host responsibilities and cancellation rules for physical events still require owner approval.
7. Privacy and unresolved legal provisions
Read the privacy policy for the current draft description of information use. A working account-deletion process and retention policy are separate requirements, not completed by publishing these terms.
The owner must approve any content license, suspension or termination procedure, liability terms, governing law, dispute-resolution process and change-notification rules with appropriate legal advice. This draft intentionally does not invent those provisions.
