Draft prepared October 19, 2026 · Owner review required before adoption

1. About this notice

Merge Social is operated by Sharon Brown in the United States, with Virginia as the requested launch state. It is a membership-based make-friends app with profiles, private messages, group chats, events and AI-assisted features. This draft covers those features and visitor bookings. Privacy questions can be sent to sharbrown2945@gmail.com.

A public business address and business structure still require confirmation. This draft does not identify an incorporated business or claim regulatory compliance.

2. Information used by Merge

  • Account information, including your email address, account identifier and name. Merge offers email/password and Google sign-in; a customer Lovable account is not required.
  • Profile information you choose to provide, including your bio, hobbies, interests, religion, marital status, pets, education, friendship goals, availability, city or ZIP code, photos and social or website links. Some optional fields, such as religion, may be sensitive under applicable law.
  • Private and group messages, group participation, event details and participation, reports and block choices.
  • Membership and payment status needed to determine access and manage billing.
  • Questions, preferences or other text submitted to AI features, and the recommendations or text returned.
  • Booking details, including the selected time and contact information needed for a calendar invitation.

Do not put passwords, payment card details or other sensitive information into profiles, messages or AI requests.

3. Purposes and visibility

Merge uses information to operate accounts and memberships, display member profiles, deliver conversations, support groups and events, provide recommendations and handle reports or bookings. Profiles and content you share in groups or events may be visible to other eligible members; avoid posting information you do not want those members to see.

Private conversations are intended for their participants. A reported message can be reviewed by an authorized administrator for moderation. Notification preferences control in-app suggestions; they do not promise email or text-message delivery.

4. AI features and connected services

Merge uses Lovable AI Gateway for features such as member and activity recommendations, conversation starters, bio writing and group summaries. Requests may include your supplied text and relevant profile, group, event or conversation context for that feature. Review what you submit; generated suggestions can be inaccurate.

Stripe provides subscription checkout and billing. The optional Venmo QR opens a separate payment option; it is not Stripe subscription fulfillment, and scanning it does not grant membership. Google services support sign-in, maps or place searches, calendar bookings and Google Meet invitations. Each connected service has its own terms and privacy information.

The owner must confirm the complete service-provider inventory, vendor retention and training practices, and any international processing before adopting this notice. This draft does not promise that AI providers never retain or use requests.

5. Account storage and cookies

Signing in requires session information so Merge can recognize your account and authorize access. The owner must confirm a full cookie, analytics and device-data inventory and any consent requirements. This draft makes no claim that Merge is cookie-free or collects no technical data.

6. Choices and data requests

You can edit available profile fields, choose in-app notification preferences, and block or report unwanted interactions. Contact sharbrown2945@gmail.com with privacy, access, correction or deletion questions; do not include your password or full payment details.

Contacting support is not automatic account deletion. A dedicated account-deletion process, identity verification, deletion scope, response periods and any lawful retention exceptions still require confirmation. Cancelling billing and deleting an account are separate actions.

7. Retention, security and age eligibility

Merge Social is intended for people aged 21 and older. The age-verification and enforcement process must be implemented and verified before store submission; this notice is not evidence of an enforced age check.

The owner prefers to retain data, but has not specified retention periods or lawful deletion exceptions. This preference does not override applicable deletion rights or app-store requirements. A retention schedule, deletion process, children’s data handling and jurisdiction-specific rights still require approval. No particular encryption standard, retention deadline, child-safety certification or security guarantee is asserted here.

8. Updates and contact

Approved changes should be reflected in this notice with an updated effective date and any legally required notification. The date above is the preparation date, not an assertion that all draft provisions have been adopted.
